 "chuu" means "medium" or "in between". It is called " chuuya-obi" because the width of this obi is in between
"hanhaba-obi" and other obis.
 "chuu" means day and "ya" means night. This Obi is made by two different fabrics and reversible.
 "han" means half and "haba" means width. This is a half width obi compared with others. It does not require obiage & obijime. Easy obi.
 "natsu" means summer. natsu obi is worn from june to september.
 This obi does not have a back layer. It can be used as natsu-obi.

 It is slimmer than "Nagoya-obi" and also does not need a core like
"Nagoya-obi".

It is to worn to make a "taiko-musubi". There are "dyed nagoya-obi" and "woven nagoya-obi". It is a very modern designed "Fukuro-obi".
Make layered "taiko" like Fukuro-obi.
 There is a design only in the front side. It is a very popular "Reisou" obi.
 The most high status obi.Mostly used for brides. There are designs on both sides. This is a very wide and thick obi and tens to be very pricey.
